• Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met with CBMM’s former Marketing Development Manager, Mr. Pascal Bodinon, who received the annual government “Friendship Award” for his excellent work in China in Beijing, capital of China, Spring 2006.

• In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of niobium science and technology in China’s automobile and transportation sectors, Mr. Marcos Stuart, the foreign expert of CITIC Metal, won the 2019 Chinese Government Friendship Award and received by national leaders and leaders of CITIC Group.

• Maned wolves are a threatened species in Brazil, CBMM has set up a conservation base for the maned wolves inside its Araxá factory

• CITIC Metal had funded the construction of 4 “Hope Schools” in Shanxi, Yunan, Xizang and Henan provinces, contributing the development of fundamental education in the poor regions of China
